Surviving the Virus

When I was a kid I planned for the plague and the zombie apocalypse. I expected I'd be young and ready to take on the world, but no. I was wrong. I also don't want to be a carrier that can bring death to others. Sadly I know a lot of younger people that do not care about that prospect and joke quite freely about it all.

I don't remember if I considered the elderly when I was young, probably not because I didn't associate with many that often. I think though, I would have been just as callous, children usually are.

If I don't survive this one I'll never get my damn stories published.

I'll also miss the sky.
